This one-shot mini zine features true tales of good and bad library patrons. Both sides feature some great drawings by artists such as: Andrew Robinson, Bobby Tran Dale, Cole Johnson, Kelly Froh, and Rina Ayuyang. It comes packaged in a library book pocket, with either a library book card or a card catalog card, and (while supplies last) a personalized library card.
Rejected Band Names #8

Since I hate talking about my own writing, here's a review of the original version of this issue:
I've been carrying this issue of RBN around with me for a month, and I have probably read it through at least three times. It's not splashy, shocking, scandalous or even scintillating, but a rock solid account of events in Jerianne's life. Jerianne is an engaging writer. Stories that would be dry and boring if told by someone else are instead lively, honest, and well-written. The essay detailing Jerianne's car accident (not her fault) and how she had to drag the other people to court to finally collect was more empowering than any soul-bearing perzine I've read in a while. As a librarian, I also liked her stories about working in her local public library with its usual collection of characters. The stories about family events (weddings) and feeling on the outside even though you’re involved were easy to relate to as well.
I originally published this issue just before the Allied Media Conference last summer; it has taken me this long to work with the text some more (add some, take out some, etc.) and to come up with a cover design I liked.
RBN is $2; the library zine is $1. You can send orders to: PO Box 330156, Murfreesboro TN 37133
